New Caney ISD to host district Rodeo Art Show

This year's New Caney ISD Rodeo Art Show will be hosted on Saturday, Jan. 16, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Porter High School library. New Caney ISD is hosting this event in partnership with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and will showcase Rodeo Art from students within the district.

PHS student competes in national stock show

For the first time ever, a Porter High School student competed in the renowned National Western Stock Show on Jan. 20, in Denver, Colorado. Sarah Jones, a Porter High School student and member of PHS FFA, won the Reserve Champion Berkshire. Her hog was sold for $3,500.
