BOYS HOOPS: New Caney records school record 22nd win

The Eagles headed into Friday’s meeting with C.E. King with a few things on the line.

A chance to continue leading the way in District 21-5A and have a record setting win.

New Caney took care of business downing C.E. King on Friday, 60-58, with brothers Deion and Sean Rhea leading the way.

Deion finished with 15 points and 10 boards, while Sean chipped in 25 points and 16 rebounds in the Eagles’ 22nd win of the season, setting a new school record.

The Eagles improve to 22-3 overall and 7-1 in District 21-5A play, pulling them into a tie with Humble for first place in the district standings.
