Keefer Crossing Middle School Student Places 4th in Cross Country

Congratulations to Kevin Gutierrez for placing 4th place out of 200 runners at the Andy Wells Invitational! This 7th grade Cross-Country team member has been training hard since school started, and it showed!

The Andy Wells Invitational took place at Kingwood High School on September 14, 2019. Cross-Country Teams from middle schools and high schools came to compete against one another in this event. There were three different divisions available to compete in – Middle School, Junior Varsity and High School.

Keefer Crossing competed in the Middle School division which split the teams up into boys and girls first, and then into grade levels. The Tavola community's middle school team ran 3,200 meters against the other several Humble ISD middle schools. Kevin Gutierrez ran against 203 other seventh-grade boys, and spectacularly finished in the top five! Keefer Crossing Middle School’s seventh grade boys team finished in sixth place out of 11 teams in their division! What an amazing job!
