KISS Lifts Spirits in Kingwood
Hundreds of Kingwood High School students channeling the legendary rock band KISS, emerged from a line of buses in front of the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land on Sept. 26, ready to rock and roll all night with KISS. This trip provided much needed optimism. The drill team lost a lot of equipment and costumes from flooding, and a few students lost their houses after Hurricane Harvey. Despite the hardships present in the lives of these students, their faces were lit with excitement as they stuck out their tongues like KISS's Gene Simmons and made "rock-on" and "thumbs-up" hand gestures. After the 300-plus students were inside the building, they were led backstage to meet and take photos with KISS before the concert.
