New Caney ISD Gathers Parent Information For Upcoming School Year
New Caney ISD recently sent out parent surveys to gather feedback for reopening fall 2020-21. NCCISD will be gathering and assessing data, but hopes to have a plan in place by mid July.
The pandemic has resulted in many uncertainties regarding the upcoming school year. New Caney ISD Superintendient, Kenn Frankin, wants to have all the data and TEA guidelines in place before coming to a firm decision.
The Texas Education Agency has recently released their guidelines for the 2020-21 school year.The District has several models and options on the table, but wants to make sure they match all the state mandated guidelines before presenting to the public.
NCCISD plans on returning to school on August 10. According to the new TEA guidelines, parents will be asked to commit to either to the on-campus plan or remote plan no sooner than two weeks prior to the start of school.
The district will continue to update families of changes to the upcoming school year.
