Tween & Teen Summer Programs Presented by Kingwood Branch Library

Kingwood Branch Library offers programs for your tweens and teens all summer long!!

NASA for Tweens: Rocket Science - Join us for an out-of-this-world presentation by the NASA Johnson Space Center as you learn how rockets work and what it takes to launch them into space. Witness first-hand the power needed to achieve great heights with thrilling combustion demonstrations. Then put your newfound knowledge to use by building and launching an air pressure-powered rocket!  For ages 8-12 years old. Space Limited. Online registration is required.

teenMAKER: Anime Glasses - Is your cosplay costume missing that vital prop to let others know you are plotting or feeling villainous? You’re in luck then! 

Space is limited. Registration is required and open only to teens entering grades 6-12. Teens can register by emailing their name and grade level to Email registration opens on Tuesday, June 21, at 10:00 AM. You are not fully registered until you receive an email confirmation.

Teen Movie Night - Ready to relax a bit and watch a movie with friends. Come by the Teen Game Room to watch Dear Evan Hansen. Snacks are provided.

Teen Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament - Calling all gamers! Do you have what it takes to finish the fight?  Join the brawl for a chance to win! No pre-registration is necessary.

Teen Lock-In - Stay after hours at the library to play games, try out our VR headsets, make crafts, and hang out with other teens.

A permission slip is required. Permission slips can be picked up starting on Tuesday, July 5, and must be turned in by Wednesday, July 20 (2 days before the Lock-In!).
